Malachi 3 v 17
They shall be my people says the Lord of Heavens armies. On the day when I act in judgement they will be my own special treasure.

Thank you Lord that you have clamed me as yours.
Thank you Lord that if I have given my life to you and recieved salvation I will be your special treasure.

May I always be pleaseing to you with all that I say and do as I go about my daily life today. May I always remeber that You Lord treasure me as a very presious person mo matter what others think of me. May I love and honour you all the days of my life. Glory to God on high.

What is it with Seasons and darkness

Well today is cold. It is dark out side still at 10h00.
It is as if the sun didnt rise and now the rain started to fall.
How I dispise this change of season from full blowen summer straight to winter.
No warning on stopping for a breath of auttum just winter full blowen and getting cold.
Well that is normally how it happens over Easter in Gauteng.
Well I just pray that we sun on sunday, sunrise service at the church.
What is Easter sunday with out the son and sunrise.
With out the Lord Jesus there would be now easter.
Can you imagine no Easter celebration.
No Easter Holidays.
No Easter Eggs.
Awa.
Thanks Lord for Easter thanks for dying on the Cross for us.
Thanks Lord Jesus for Easter.
A God who brought Jesus back to life.
Thank you for a wonderfull Easter even if the sun doesnt shine.
Cause Your Son the only Son rose and shone for all to see.

So Lord may I shine for You today and this Easter may all around me see the love in me which I have for Christ our Lord. Amen

For His anger lasts only a moment

 Psalm 30:5
For His anger lasts only a moment, but His favor lasts a lifetime; weeping may remain for a night, but rejoicing (joy) comes in the morning.
Our lives are a series of seasons.
The great thing about seasons is that they do not last forever.
From time to time we may pass through a time of difficulty.
But God's promise to us is joy.

PRAYER: Lord, You are the one thing that I can be sure of! Your favor and the fact that it lasts a lifetime is my saving grace. Help me not to get so angry at this world as I walk my daily life give me the calmness of your son Jesus as and when I need it. Amen.

GOD's Protection

God today I ask your protection on my son as he travels back from Capetown to Boksburg.

I pray for Trevor to be totally in your care our Father. I ask that he is always aware that

You GOD are by his side and keep him ever conscious of the other people on the road

as he travels this long distance. Thank you LORD for giving us your promise of

protection when we ask for it.

A Godly Life, Grey Hair is not bad

Proverbs 16 v 31
Gray hair is a crown of glory;

it is gained by living a godly life.

Do you have Grey Hair?

Has your hair faded to just a crown of Grey?

Are you trying to hid the mark of a Godly life?

Father thank you today for the grey hairs you have let me recieve, may I always live a Godly life each and every day as I go about my daily life. Thank you Lord for showing me that getting old is not a bad thing but just a way of becoming more God like.

Listen to my voice in the morning, Lord.

Each morning I bring my requests to you and wait expectantly.

Thank You Lord that I can come to you each and every morning with my requests and You listen to what it is that I have to say. Yes Lord You dont only hear but You listen to all my requests. Prephas You choose not to fulfill all of the requests but You listen and that is more than what I often do.

So as I come to you today my heart is expexctant to see what it is that You have in store for me today.

May I bring you glory, honour and praise as I live this day.

Then the man and his wife heard the sound of the Lord God as he was walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and they hid from the Lord God among the trees of the garden. But the Lord God called to the man, “Where are you?”

Is it necessary to visit your congregation ?

Is a telephone call good enough ?

What would Jesus do ?

Would He just call ?

Or would He come in person ?

Prayer

Father teach me to be humble and never to forget to take time to visit the members of my congregation as regular as possible just like You visited with us.

A GOD who forgives all sin!

Mic 7:18

Thank you Lord for Your forgiveness
Thank you Lord for Your love for us.
Thank you Lord that You do not stay angry forever at us.

Prayer
Father thank You for Your forgiveness of our sins. May we be forgiven for our sins we have commited. Yes Lord we ask that You will not be angry with us forever and that You will allow us to recieve Your love of the Saviour Jesus Your son.
Amen There is no other god like you, O LORD; you forgive the sins of your people who have survived. You do not stay angry forever, but you take pleasure in showing us your constant love.

GOD is ALL MIGHTY

Psalm 93:4
The Lord on high is mighty. Mightier than the thunder of the great waters, mightier than the breakers of the sea!
We serve a great and a powerful God.
He is greater in strength than all that would rise up against Him.
Never doubt or limit your great God.
Those who trust in Him have nothing to fear.

PRAYER: Lord, I declare that You are mighty.
You are mightier than any situation or
circumstance that I may face.
Amen.

That Armour of God put it on

Eph 6:13  So put on God's armor now! Then when the evil day comes, you will be able to resist the enemy's attacks; and after fighting to the end, you will still hold your ground.

Spiritual strength and courage are needed for our spiritual warfare in order to deal with suffering. Those who would prove themselves to have true grace, must aim at all grace; and put on the whole armour of God, which he prepares. The Christian armour is made to be worn; and there is no putting off our armour till we have done our warfare, and finished our course.

Father I pray that each day I that You will put Your spiritual armour on me so that I will be able to resist the attacks of the evil one. Give me the strength to remember to ask for this gift of protection which only You can give.

An Easter Prayer

An Easter Prayer (Adapted from The Book of Common Prayer)

O God, who for our redemption gave your only begotten Son to death on the Cross, and by his glorious resurrection has delivered us from the power of our enemy: Grant that we who celebrate with joy the day of our Lord’s resurrection, may be raised from the death of sin by your life-giving Spirit. Grant us so to die daily to sin, that we may evermore live with him in the joy of his resurrection, empowered and transformed by your grace in and among us.

O Lord, so stir up in your church, indeed in each of us, that Spirit of adoption and reconciliation that is made possible by your grace revealed in Jesus the Christ, that we being renewed in both body and mind, may worship and serve you in sincerity and truth. We pray this in the name of the same Jesus Christ our Lord who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever.  Amen.

Self Control or God Control

Which do you find yourself at.
Are you self controlled or are you God controlled.
Do you allow God to take the steering wheel and drive the car.
Do you stop at the red robots in life.
What do you do at the green and orange robots.
Do you consider what would Jesus do ?
Do you jump ahead and just push the accelerator down hard?
Do you have God control?
God wants us to have self control in our daily lives.

Gal 5:23
humility, and self-control. There is no law against such things as these.

Thank you Lord for giving me the option of self control in my daily life a control which comes with your assistance.
