Going Outside for God (Part No 2)

Going Outside for God (Part No 2)

Good Morning

Lets Pray…

In the last session we discussed

Going outside for God

Step Forward – receive Christ as your Lord and Saviour
Step Up – Meet and Hear from God.
Step Outside - of you comfort zone with the Holy Spirit.

Today I want us to look at what comes as we God Outside for God. Yes fill the great commission take Christ to the nations.

1.God goes before us
Deu 31:3  The LORD your God himself will go before you and destroy the nations living there, so that you can occupy their land; and Joshua will be your leader, as the LORD has said.

So God will go before us His word comforts us. Jesus goes before us so that when we arrive on the scene then His word will be accepted easily. We must remember that we can change the world only if we let God go before us.
We should not be afraid to step out and take Christ word to the nations because God has already gone on ahead to prepare the road. This should just make it easier to share the gospel but then why is every one that hears the word not converted?
Why some times is the word hard to sink in we will cover that in the next session.
Today I want us to focus on what God does as we lead one to Christ. He goes before to prepare the path just like a grader to prepare the road. They tell me a lot of preparation goes into making a road. I’m sure you have all experienced the road works and how long it can take to complete a project on our roads today. But if the prepration is not done right then it has to be done again and this can be a vast loss of money.
So as we go God goes before He meets with people we will come into contact with and He makes them receptive to His message. We just have to step up and share the message.

2.God makes the way
GOD WILL MAKE A WAY!”
Isaiah 43:16This is what the LORD says—he who made a way through the sea, a path through the mighty waters,17who drew out the chariots and horses, the army and reinforcements together, and they lay there, never to rise again, extinguished, snuffed out like a wick:18“Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past.19See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the desert and streams in the wasteland.
20The wild animals honor me, the jackals and the owls, because I provide water in the desert and streams in the wasteland, to give drink to my people, my chosen, 21the people I formed for myself that they may proclaim my praise.

Often we have a problem ocurr in life and isn’t it strange when we get it all together then we often hear our selves say that we have made a way. Well Id like to ask lets look at leading someone to Christ can we take credit for that. What did we do we cant save them from sin only God can. We can tell them about God we can love the person, we show the kindness but only God can make them meet with Him.
Some people are harder to lead than others. Some people just accept Christ easily. We nned to pray for God to make a way in their lives. We need to spend time praying for salvation for a person sometimes this can take a long time.
Dutch Sheets a pastor wrote a story of how he prayer for a young girl to be healed for along time. He even prayed when others had given up. Eventually God came through and the young girl was healed. Dutch Sheets got God’s attention.
So prephas we are asking why doesn’t God heal others well maybe we need to pray more for others and that will attract His attention.

3.God opens the door
(2 Cor 2:
12Now when I went to Troas to preach the gospel of Christ and found that the Lord had opened a door for me, 13I still had no peace of mind, because I did not find my brother Titus there. So I said good-by to them and went on to Macedonia.
14But thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumphal procession in Christ and through us spreads everywhere the fragrance of the knowledge of him. 15For we are to God the aroma of Christ among those who are being saved and those who are perishing. 16To the one we are the smell of death; to the other, the fragrance of life. And who is equal to such a task? 17Unlike so many, we do not peddle the word of God for profit. On the contrary, in Christ we speak before God with sincerity, like men sent from God.
. Paul clearly perceived that God had opened this door for him in Troas, yet he also concluded God didn’t want him going through it!

I have open and closed many a door in my life Im sure that you have too. But the awesome part is when God opens a door.
Yes Paul knew about this He could understand that when God opens the door we must be prepared to see the wonders of His word come true.

We need to Step Outside for Him

Colossians 4 Paul Open Doors
