Galations 6:10
1 Timothy 3:15

Gal 6:10 NIV 10 Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.

Gal 6:10 NLT 10 Whenever we have the opportunity, we should do good to everyone, especially to our Christian brothers and sisters.

Gal 6:10 10 When we have the opportunity to help anyone, we should do it. But we should give special attention to those who are in the family of believers.

HOW WILL A CHURCH FAMILY EQUIP ME FOR LIFE?

1.  IT HELPS ME FIND MY MINISTRY

2.  IT WILL HELP ME FULFILL MY LIFE'S MISSION

Points to Discuss at PALS

1.     What Spiritual gifts do you have?

2.     What things do you love to do that GOD has given you?

3.     What is your mission GOD has called you?

Last Sunday we covered

HOW WILL A CHURCH FAMILY EQUIP ME FOR LIFE?

1.  IT WILL HELP ME FOCUS ON GOD.

2.  IT WILL HELP ME FACE LIFE'S PROBLEMS.

3.  IT WILL HELP ME FORTIFY MY FAITH.

Today I want to continue with this theme

HOW WILL A CHURCH FAMILY EQUIP ME FOR LIFE?

1.  IT HELPS ME FIND MY MINISTRY

The Bible says that God has made us unique. We are uniquely shaped, that He planned us even before we were born. God has used five things to shape us.

4.  He's given us Spiritual gifts that we are good at.
5.  He's given us a Heart, a passion -- there are things we love to do and things we don't love; things we are interested in and things we are not interested in.
6.  He's given us Abilities -- some of us are good with words, or numbers, or things, or animals, or people.
7.  He's given us a Personality.
8.  Then He's given us Experiences -- educational experiences, vocational experiences, spiritual experiences and painful experiences.

These things God's used all together to shape us and make us. We are not an accident.

Why has God given us all these talents? God has given us this shape because He wants us to make a contribution to this world. God wants us to put something into this world, not just take something out of it and die. Whenever we use our talents and our abilities to help other people, the Bible calls that ministry. I used to think ministry was something pastors did in the church, but ministry is anything we do when we are using talents or gifts or abilities to help other people. That's a ministry.

2.  IT WILL HELP ME FULFILL MY LIFE'S MISSION

We are not here by accident.  God didn't put us on earth just to take up space, get a job, make money, retire and die. He didn't put us on the earth just to use resources. But he has a life mission, a ministry in which He wants us to use to have an impact in this world.

The purpose of the church is to help us discover that mission. This is why I'm here." All of a sudden life makes sense. There is meaning, significance and satisfaction in life.

Part of that mission is called The Great Commission. It means that we are to share with other people the Good News about Christ. It’s not all our life mission but it is a part of it.

Acts 20:24 "Life is worth nothing unless I use it for doing the work assigned me by the Lord Jesus -- the work of telling others about the Good News of God's kindness and love."

There is no greater accomplishment in life than to introduce somebody to Jesus Christ. Can you imagine getting to heaven and have somebody come up to you someday and say, "I'm here because of you. Thank you." What could be more significant than that?

These are the five benefits of having a church family.
It helps me focus on God,
fortify my faith,
face life's problems,
find my ministry and
fulfill my life's mission.

Warning:  You're never going to find the perfect church. If you do find the perfect church please don't join it because then it won't be perfect any more. We are not perfect and neither am I. There are two sides to the coin of being a member of God's family, a local family.
Col 3:15 "This is your responsibility and privilege as members of His body." Circle “responsibility" and "privilege".
Those two words make the difference between an attender and a member. What is the difference? The difference is like the difference between living together and getting married. It's commitment. An attender is a consumer. A member is a contributor. An attender is just along for the ride. A member is part of the team. God says He doesn't want us to just go to a church only, He wants us to be a part of a bigger and better family.
Be a part of a Church Spiritual Family.
