As far as the eas

Psalm 103:12 - 'As far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us.'

- Never doubt the magnitude of God's forgiveness towards you.
- It is the Lord who blots out our transgressions.
- He does not remember our sins but wants to remove them from us.
- Receive His forgiveness and walk in the forgiveness He gives.

PRAYER: Lord, thank You for the forgiveness You extend to me. My stains are washed by Your precious blood and I am cleansed from all unrighteousness. Amen.

great power

Acts 4:33 - 'With great power the apostles continued to testify to the resurrection of the Lord. And God's grace was so powerfully at work in them all.'

- You and I can continue to testify to the resurrection power in our lives.
- We can truly be alive because the Lord has paid the price for us.
- The result was that the power of God was powerfully at work.
- May the Lord's grace be powerfully at work in and through you.

PRAYER: Lord, may I live and walk in such a way that my life will be a demonstration of Your grace and power that is at work within me. Amen.

He lives

Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?” John 11:25-26 NIV http://bible.com/111/jhn.11.25-26.NIV

He personally carried our sins

1 Peter 2:24 - 'He personally carried our sins in His body on the cross so that we can be dead to sin and live for what is right.'

- The death of our Saviour was unlike any other death.

- His death was significant in every way.

- His dying was different because He carried our sins in the process.

- Now you and I can be dead to sin and we can live for what is right.

PRAYER: Lord, thank You for going to the cross for me. You paid the price so that I could be free. Because of You, life is worth living. Amen.

He was wounded

Isaiah 53: 5 - 'He was wounded for our transgressions, He was crushed for our wickedness [our sin, our injustice, our wrongdoing]; the punishment [required] for our well-being fell on Him, and by His stripes (wounds) we are healed.'

- Our Lord was wounded, crushed and punished so that we can be free.

- He took the punishment that we deserved.

- The result is that we can be forgiven and be set free from sin.

- We no longer need to be ashamed, but we can be His sons and daughters.

PRAYER: Lord, thank You for the price that You paid so that I can be free. I remember this great sacrifice and I remain eternally grateful. Amen.

do what is right

Proverbs 21:3 - 'To do what is right and just is more acceptable to the Lord than sacrifice.'

- You and I are called upon to do what the Lord expects of us.

- What a delight to be able to serve the Lord in this way.

- He knows the hearts of every living soul.

- He calls out to us and reminds us to be an example and a blessing.

PRAYER: Lord, may my life be a source of blessing to those around me. Help me to always do the right thing and in the process to bring You praise, honour and glory. Amen.

What does the Lord require

Micah 6:8 - 'What does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.'

- There are certain things that the Lord requires of us.

- We should start off by treating others with kindness and respect.

- Our conduct with those around us should be characterised by mercy.

- At all times we should be humble and ready to walk with our Lord.

PRAYER: Lord, may I live my life in such a way that I will do what is right and be ready to dispense mercy as I walk this road with You, my Lord. Amen.

God is able to bless

Corinthians 9:8 - 'And God is able to bless you abundantly...'

- It is in God's very nature to bless and provide for us.

- He wants to pour out His grace on you abundantly.

- He came that you could have life and have it more abundantly.

- He will abundantly bless you with the provision that you need.

PRAYER: Lord, thank You for Your promise of blessing, provision and abundant life. I will settle for nothing less that Your best for me. Amen.

Well done, good and faithful servant!'

Matthew 25:21 - His master replied, 'Well done, good and faithful servant!'

- Will your Master be able to say this about you?

- This servant was praised for being good and faithful and not for being a success.

- The Lord is looking for much greater things than mere success.

- Let us be good, kind and merciful and may we be found faithful.

PRAYER: Lord, I recognize today that Your standards are different to those in the world. I choose to live in a way that honours You and I pray that I will be found faithful. Amen.

faithful

Luke 16:10 - 'Whoever is faithful with very little will also be faithful with much...'

- So much can be achieved with very little.

- Often we despise the small or the little things.

- The Lord can take the little things and make something great out of them.

- He took 5 loaves and 2 fish and fed thousands of people.

PRAYER: Lord, forgive me for despising the little things.
Help me to realise that as I remain faithful in the little things that You promise to use them in a greater way than I could have imagined.
Amen.

the Lord helped me

Psalm 118:13 '....but the Lord helped me.'

- It is in the Lord's very nature to help each one of us.

- This should be the testimony of our lives: ... 'but the Lord helped me'.

- But for the Lord where would we be?

- Ask for His help, believe for His help and expect Him to help you.

PRAYER: Lord, I would have despaired if I had not known that You would and did help me. You are my helper. Amen.

LORD I cut them down

Psalm 118:12 - 'They swarmed around me like bees, but they were consumed as quickly as burning thorns; in the name of the LORD I cut them down.'

-  Sometimes issues and problems can come at us from every side.

-  There are times when we may even feel overwhelmed.

-  But in each situation the Lord wants to give you the victory.

-  He will bring you through it and cut down those things that try to destroy you.

PRAYER: Lord, may I see and experience the victory that You have prepared for me. May those ‘swarming bees’ be removed from my life. Amen

God chose things

Corinthians 1:28 - 'God chose things despised by the world, things counted as nothing at all, and used them to bring to nothing what the world considers important.'

- The Lord uses the unlikely and the despised things for His glory.

- He sees things from a different perspective.

- The Lord did not use the great and the mighty, but chose fishermen.

- This means that we all qualify to be used by Him in a wonderful way.

PRAYER: Lord, what a joy it is to know that You can use me and use my life to expand and extend Your kingdom here on earth. Thank You for choosing me. Amen.

how great is God

Psalm 104:2 - 'The LORD wraps Himself in light as with a garment; He stretches out the heavens like a tent.'

-  Sometimes we have to remind ourselves about how great God is.

-  Your help comes from the Lord who stretches out the heavens like a tent.

-  Even the universe in which you live is something He created.

-  Remember, He is all you need, He is eternal and abounding in mercy.

PRAYER: Lord, what a joy it is to know that I can live under the heavens that You have stretched out like a tent above me. Truly You are a great and a wonderful Father. Amen

love of Christ

Ephesians 3:19 - 'May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God.'

- Oh that we would have a revelation of the love of Christ for us. Christ has come thru for us today He gave His life His all.

- If we could only grasp how much He loves us, we would never be the same.
How much do you love someone well God loves you more than that.

- His love drives out all fear and doubt.
It is amazing how God can make things change at His time and place.

- His love can change our perspective and give us the power we need.
God gives us the power it is how we use it.

Reminds me of a song there is Power in His Love.

PRAYER: Lord, may I experience Your great love in my own life.
May I begin to understand how much You love me and may I walk in Your strength as a result.
Amen.

see My hands

John 20:27 - Then HE said to Thomas, 'Put your finger here; see My hands. Reach out your hand and put it into My side. Stop doubting and believe.'

- Doubt and unbelief rob us of the joy of trusting God.

- Here the Saviour tells Thomas to stop doubting and to believe.

- We are encouraged to believe and to walk in the joy that results.

- The Lord wants to touch your life and remove the doubt and the fear.

PRAYER: Lord, forgive me for allowing doubt to undermine my hope, my faith and my confidence. I will believe and I will trust in You. Amen.

God who richly provides

Timothy 6:17b - 'Instead, they should place their confidence in God who richly provides us with everything to enjoy.'

- Each day we should place our confidence in the Lord. Trust God to the full.

- He is the provider of every good and perfect gift. All gifts of goodness come only from Him alone.

- Each day is a gift and each day has been provided for us to enjoy. Live the life God has given you doing His work.

- His beauty can be seen all around us, if we will just take the time to enjoy it! We will see Him in it He is every where in every thing because every thing was created by Him.

PRAYER:
Lord, I place my confidence in You today.

Thank You for all the things that You have richly provided for me to enjoy.

Amen.

Wait for the LORD

Psalm 130:5 - 'I wait for the LORD, my whole being waits, and in His word I put my hope.'

-  HE should be the source of everything we long for or hold dear. So why not wait is it because we are use to everything now.

-  As we live our lives dependent on Him we will find the strength we need.God gives us His strength as we wait. Wait upon the Lord...

-  Every aspect of our lives should be counting on Him for the answers we need.God comes with the right answer at the right moment.

-  As the branch depends on the vine, let us live in dependence on Him. We must let Him be our source and hope and He will give us our needs.

PRAYER:
Lord, I look to You, and with my ‘whole being’ I rely and depend on You.

My hope and my confidence is found in You and in You alone. My hope today is in You Father I stand waiting for you to come thru.

- The Lord is the One who can come and sustain you.

- He wants to revive you so that you can continue to walk in His ways.

- He wants to come and infuse your life with His strength.

- May He restore and revive you day by day and forever.

PRAYER: Lord, I recognise that to be spiritually alive, I need Your touch and the reality of Your presence each and every day. Amen.

cheerful heart

Proverbs 15:15 - '..... the cheerful heart has a continual feast.'

- We should develop a cheerful, happy disposition.

- When sadness is allowed to take root, everything looks dark.

- When hope and thankfulness is alive within us, we can truly live.

- Life can be a 'continual feast' if our hearts are in a good way.

PRAYER: Lord, I choose to cultivate a cheerful heart.
May I see the good in every situation and in every person,
and may I know what it means to live life as a 'continual feast'.
Amen.
